Queen Manarangi Tutai - Paramount Chief of the Eastern side of Aitutaki Island, is the owner and your hostess at Gina's Beach Lodge, on Akaiami Island.
Akaiami Island is a coral island situated on the outer coral reef of Aitutaki lagoon, 5 miles across the lagoon from the mainland. It boasts both a sweeping sandy lagoon beach, and a more rugged , coral ocean beach, with a reef moat. This is a wonderful snorkelling location.
This unique property features three fully screened studio type rooms, each with a double bed and a single bed, with separate cooking and shower facilities. It is situated on the lagoon beach of beautiful Akaiami Island, right in the heart of the lagoon. Guests love to spend time in this enchanted environment. The cost includes transfers across the lagoon by boat, and an unobtrusive caretaker in separate accommodation to look after them This is very good value for money.
Gina's Beach Lodge only accept one booking at a time for this property, so you are guaranteed to have the island to yourselves whilst staying here. Your own Robinson Crusoe experience.
There is a separate toilet and shower block, with two flush toilets, and a fresh water shower.
The new kitchen and dining room are spacious, and furnished with a gas cooker, electric frying pan, toaster,and hot water jug, plus cooking and eating utensils.
Electricity is not on all the time , but is supplied in the mornings to cook breakfast, and in the evenings to prepare dinner and for some part of the evening.
Each room is supplied with a torch and spare batteries.
Guests have a lovely colonial style verandah to relax on, and enjoy the view through the palm trees to the golden sand beach, and the sparkling blue lagoon beyond. The stuff of romance and legend. - the true South Seas in all it's beauty.
Please note this property can only be requested in combination with a stay at Gina's Garden Lodge in Aitutaki and minimum two nights is required for the island.
